The job description is based on the critical needs required for the above stated position. The position is classified as a 0.6 FTE position with 24 hours achieved weekly. Each shift will consist of not less than 5 hours per day with one 30-minute unpaid lunch break. This role supports Pro-Western Mechanical’s Human Resources department through assistance in onboarding, employee data management, safety documentation, and administrative support.
Responsibilities and Activities
- Support full-cycle onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Schedule field staff performance reviews.
- Maintain and update employee records and filing systems.
- Assist in streamlining HR processes and procedures.
- Support policy and procedure revisions under HR Manager guidance.
- Add new employees to safety systems and coordinate WHMIS training.
- Support WCB claims processing and documentation.
- Monitor safety documentation for completion and compliance.
- Event planning.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Typing speed of 40 WPM or higher (typing test required).
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated and capable of working independently.
- Administrative or entry-level HR experience/education considered an asset.
