MECHANICAL TAKE-OFF SPECIALIST

Job Summary

The candidate must be familiar with construction prints, processes and successfully demonstrated leading site crews. This role is an in-office position located in Edmonton, working closely with project managers and reports to the VP of Operations.

Responsibilities

Using take-off software provide quality material take-offs for variety of mechanical scope projects
Analize and provide feed back from original estimates to takeoffs, to find efficiencies
Participate in handoff meetings from estimating to project managers

Qualifications & Skills

SKILLS & ABLITIES

Read, interpret and have a strong understanding of construction prints
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self directed and works well with minimal supervision
Strong aptitude with technology/softwares
Fast learner and critical thinker
Proficient in MS Office Applications particularly Excel

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess red seal plumbing and gas fitter certificate(s)
5 years minimum foreman/ supervisory experience with light/commercial projects
Experience with takeoff/estimating software
PMP designation considered an asset
